The offered breakfast was nice hot for all tastes. The room was kept really clean and available with fantastic views. It had very central location close to Pororo Park Singapore. I ate at the casual restaurant near the hotel.
The breakfast was cold, I think it could be better.

Friendly service in hotel, a lot of staff seemed to know my name.
The Italian Restaurant was very disappointing. Service was very slow and some of my food was cold. Very poor.

It might not be in the orchard road, but the location is excellent!! Our room had amazing view of the bay and the hotel is located in the Marina bay area.
I'm not sure if this exclusive to Booked.net or its the hotel's policy, but you have to pay extra for breakfast and internet, $50 for each person for breakfast and $39 for 24 hours internet access

Outstanding staff in most areas especially restaurants, club lounge and housekeeping.
Was placed next to service entrance near the club room, so I complained , this did not go down well with the receptionist who told me sorry sir this is what you payed for and that is what you have, my reply was it was like a bus mans holiday for me as I work in the industry so would be nice if I was treated like a guest and not like staff, and how would your manager feel if we did this to him?? And this did not go down well?? So they started with my credit card and tried to charge 15 times my bill, resulting in 15 thousand pounds charges ? so the credit card company was alerted by mandarin hotel bank asking why they where doing this?? Result my credit got stopped, luckily had a second card which they wanted and they charged that as well...after they got the money off that they jabbed that up as well...so when I was at the airport wanting to purchase my duty free ipad etc...credit card declined....what is important to note mandarin hotel half way through my stay put a note under my door stating my credit was a problem...I Did go to the desk and asked what the problem was, as this is a black privilege card and should not be a problem...and if there is a problem will pay the bill in cash...was assured this was not a problem and they tried the card in front of me and it went through ....what they did after that was try 15 times after to get more money so alerting the fraud department at Barclay bank and there own bank....either because my partner was Asian and thought we could not afford the hotel or because I complained leaves a lot to answer. This is all true and not fantasy and can be proved by there bank and mine...What is so sad is that the head receptionist phoned me and did apologies for the first mistake and did put me in another room...but behind my back went on to keep charging my card.....shame on you and to be honest will be surprised if bookings com put this on there page...I Myself could not believe what you did and keep smiling....

We loved the understated elegance of the place. Singapore is very busy and built up- a great city - but we felt the hotel was an oasis of calm and tranquility to come back to. We appreciated the comfy beds and blackout curtains, the helpful staff, the well run pool area. The hotel was full when we were there but it did not seem at all busy. At the airport I found I had lost my bag but had to board the aeroplane. The concierge tracked it down for me in the back of a taxi and arranged for it's safe return. All in all our stay was wonderful. Great place! Oh and we were upgraded to a suite too.

The staff was generally very friendly and forthcoming. They wanted to help and make sure the stay was pleasant. Having so many guest (when I checked in there was a queue for checkin) but still the staff remembered my name. That was amazing.
I think they need to do something about the plumbing. THe sink gets flooded pretty soon
